Nadha & Ashraf | Banyan Tree Vabbinfaru

“I love those postcard shots and I never expected  that i would have something like that for my wedding ” This is the last comment the groom mentioned to me in our conversation few days back. 🙂

It has always been a habit of mine to meet my clients and familiarize myself with them before their big day. I have known this lovely couple Nadha and Ashraf months before their engagement. This was a real advantage for my work as Nadha has been a very good friend of mine for years, and this has guided me with my work throughout the wedding. It was nice to have been good friends with the couple and as I have been used to their pleasant personalities, it has helped me save a lot of time and assisted me in handling their wedding smoothly.

Lets me tell you about this lovely couple briefly. Nadha is definitely going to make you laugh if you hang out with her even if its for a short while and Ashraf is a very genuine and brilliant person. Obviously, they have become one of my favorite couples. I still remember when i was first introduced to Ashraf, it was around late afternoon at the Gourmet Restaurant. Like all of my previous clients, they also wished to get some incomparable photo shots,  a unique wedding reception and a party. Their choice was the island cupids all inclusive package which has been specifically designed for our locals. This package comprises of  shots of the wedding ceremony,  pictures taken throughout the party and some lovely outdoor pictures. The number of pictures normally is around an average of 400+ pictures.

They both finally got married in early April 2012. The wedding ceremony was held in a garden and the party took place in Nasandhura Palace Hotel. The wedding theme colour was purple. Ahmed Nimad AKA Andhu, displayed beautiful wedding decorations  and the bouquets and boutonniere was from sterling flowers. I have known that Ashraf has a special interest in home gardening, so the bouquet was a specialty in her wedding day. Her choice was the very beautiful and exotic cymbidium orchid flower.

After the wedding, the lovely couple departed to Banyan Tree Vabbinfaru Resort for their honeymoon. This beautiful resort is about 30 minutes speedboat ride from Ibrahim Nasir International Airport. This is an island I’ve always wanted to visit, because of their unique eco friendly tourism. I personally love their green sea turtle conservation project, the cute Felly and the breathtaking coral garden. I really appreciate them for inviting us to this resort to take their honeymoon photos and giving my team this wonderful experience that we gained from our visit. The kindness of the hotel staff and the exotic tropical atmosphere is something I will never forget.

We took some the beach photos in the afternoon and the bride and groom’s makeup and hair was done by Riz from (Leykoka Looks Salon) throughout the experience. The sky was cloudy and we had poor natural light on this day. However we finally managed to take some good pictures. I think the couple really liked it. If you are interested in their feedback about their experience visit my website island cupids and check it out.

I wish Mr & Mrs Ashraf all the best in their married life and a very happy future from island cupid’s team (Me (Nishan), Nasha & Batti). Do more dives 🙂

I don’t think Nadha and Ashraf would ever expect me to write such a blog post. Surprise! 🙂
