On this week we have maldivian film star Ravi Farooq, the cover portrait is so far one of the my favorite portraits done on this AVAS Weekend project.
I do think my cover image of Ravee Farooq on #AvasWeekend talks more about awareness of smoking and the #cinemagraph which never got published due to technical issue talks about second hand smoking. Its sad that one of my favourite image was taken down by the editor, but I do #respect the editor responsibilities as running a news agency.
This raises a lot of question in my few years experience of journalism and photojournalism in our community. Can we show #cigarettes and smoke?
Also you could clearly see the disclaimer on all of my works. Is this considered as promotion of smoking?
