Maldives is a luxury holiday and one of the worlds favourite honeymoon destinations. There are 100’s of wedding in our sandy beaches every month. When it comes to weddings you just cant ruin your day! Lets stay risk free. My biggest question is can we trust our Hotels / Resorts when it comes to Makeup Artists, Photographers and Videographers?
I have seen unethical business practices among the front office / F&B staffs in big brands. Most of the people who works does not have an authentic #portfolio, And do you think this a play ground for inexperienced artist? I know its good to develop people into different fields but just mention to the brides and groom about their true identity ( Dive master & assistant chef’s in some resorts do wedding photography for less then US$100 and these resort brands say they are professional. Truth is they are professional divers or chefs but not photographers or videographers. ). This is common in Maldives and these people they just do it for some extra money in their pockets and it may be the trend going around the globe.
Just remember true artists will not compromise art with money.
Few tips to save your time!
Bride and groom before your big day just check to see if your artists are well experienced.
– Do they have their own portfolio? Are these works provided to you from one single artist?
– How many years have they work in this field?
– See if their style of goes with you?
– Are they doing it for full time?
– Their might be very good hobbyists so just check what they really do to earn in the hotel / resort?
