I wish i got some credit

I was lucky to visit hay festival at Aarah. Feel sorry for those who missed this event. The island was full of fun and positive energy.  So many artists at one place with so much talent.

There was a very powerful (intriguing) exhibition by Haveeru Daily, i was surprise to see one of my image  there of the”Moree Garage Fire” incident. There was some good photos taken of Novermber 3,. I just wonder who took those images back in 1988. I know this news agency who produces news and images for many years, and they call themselves number 1 news paper in Maldives.  If its number 1 there should have been al ot of photographers and journalists working there in the past. I guess the agency can’t produce content on their own. There should always be someone who is out there shooting and writing.

Dear relevant people at Haveeru daily.

I wish you have given me some credit for the work i have done. I know i am not the best photographer you people had in the past. But none of you felt that heat of that fire incident at moree garage. So people this is just my opinion. Think about the great people who worked in Haveeru for past 30 years. We are not asking you all for any cash. Just a simple credit is enough.

Any way the day ended with great music by DJ Ravin (Buddha Bar). He’s being one of my favorite Dj’s Since 2004. I hope you all can remember the 2004 Tsunami music that was played on TVM. Thats was made by this DJ. But this time DJ Ravin was mixing with live drums with our favorite boduberu player Kairey (Group Harubee).  The Duo music was wonderful..

Watch this music and you would know about buddha bar

This is just one event i will be looking forward in future.

  1. I totally agree with what you have said … it took many devoted journalists to make Haveeru the so called (self proclaimed) No:1 News paper in Maldives … however they have neglected to recognize, credit or at all appreciate the work these journalists had given to the paper … those pictures of the 1988 November 3rd was taken by famous Journalist and Photographer “Meem Zaviyani” he got a bullet wound on his legs while at it … he has been one of the founders of Photography dept. there in Haveeru and sacrificed a lot to the paper for over 20 or so year … and yet not a single photo credit …
